GLONASS CEO Alexei Raikevich said that often car hackers attack telematics services for remote monitoring of vehicles, as well as keyless entry systems.

Their share in hacks worldwide is 35% and 21%, respectively. They hack the electronic control unit (14%) and API interfaces (12%) less frequently than a senior executive. Raikevich states that multimedia systems, mobile applications, charging infrastructure (8%, 6% and 4%, respectively) are less vulnerable.

Earlier, GLONASS announced the joint development of Russia’s first cloud-based vehicle cybersecurity system with NAMI and Kaspersky Lab.
