So, if in 2022 about 12% of counterfeit smartphones were sold, now it is 31%. In the laptop segment, the share increased from 22% to 31%, small household appliances from 15% to 34%, smart watches from 35% to 63%, headphones and speakers from 27% to 69%.
The study was conducted on the basis of 15 thousand published product cards on Wildberries, Ozon, Yandex Market, Sbermegamarket and AliExpress. According to the company, Apple, Samsung and Xiaomi devices are most often counterfeited.
AKIT President Artem Sokolov said that counterfeit products account for no more than 0.1%. If a small number of fakes are able to enter the market, “it happens through the channel of cross-border trade,” he added. [Коммерсантъ]
