The makers of sleep app Loona announced a planned pivot into VR

The creators of the Loona sleep app have announced plans for a pivot. This is reported by dev.by with reference to Andrey Yanchurevich, co-founder and CEO of Loona.

Work will continue on the Loona app and its support, but the size of the team will be reduced.

“Now we are moving in lean mode, so we had to separate ourselves from the majority of the team,” Yanchurevich said.

The Loona team is working on a new project: a virtual reality service for breathing training, which plans to launch within nine months.

The decision to change the course of business development was influenced by the great potential in the VR, XR and AR markets, as well as the difficult situation in the mobile marketing market.

Loona is Apple’s 2021 Visual Effects & Graphics Winner. The application has repeatedly attracted investment, one of the investors was the model Natalia Vodianova.
