The CDEK express delivery service, which has been developing a network of parcel terminals with the device manufacturer Omnic since 2020, has abandoned the project. The company will continue to operate in the segment under a partnership scheme with Halva.
CDEK commercial director Maxim Tolstobrov told Kommersant that CDEK and Omnic had a “divergence of vision” on the further development of the OmniCDEK network business.
The shipment traffic has already been distributed to the parcel terminals of the partner networks and to the existing network of order issuance points.
Logistics companies are forced to reduce investments due to the high competition of the markets that develop their delivery, experts say.
- The Omnixdeck LLC joint venture was established in March 2020. Sdek-Global LLC owned 51%, Omnic – 49%.
- In 2021, Omnic first raised 140 million rubles from four investors, then Impact Capital invested 30 million rubles. Then the company was estimated at 1.5 billion rubles after the money.
