For the first time in Russia, maritime transport was filled with marine fuel based on biocomponents. It was based on Tasty’s used cooking oil, and that’s it, the company said.
Gazprom Neft Marine Bunker, Vkusno-I Dot and Ecoway Company worked on the project for the production of marine biofuel.
The biofuel formulation is based on used cooking oil and low sulfur marine fuel. The preparation of the raw materials was carried out at the Ecoway company, where sedimentation, filtration and heat treatment were carried out in several stages.
The Gazprom Neft terminal in the port of Saint Petersburg was in charge of mixing the component base, production, laboratory control, storage and transshipment of the marine biofuel.
As reported, the new fuel complies with technical regulations and can be used in most maritime and fluvial vessels.
“Vkusno, and that’s it” annually sends more than 5.5 thousand tons of cooking oil for processing. In 2022, with the help of the company, biodiesel production was also localized in Russia.
