The debut of the first electric road scooter from London-based startup Taur three years ago on Kickstarter turned out to be successful. Evidence is the opening of the company’s branches in Los Angeles and London, as well as the intention to sell the second model – Taur II in the USA, Great Britain, Canada and continental Europe.
The novelty received larger wheels with 12.5-inch Unilli puncture-resistant tires and a reinforced wheelbase. Taur II is available in two versions – standard Ride and Plus with batteries, reduced from 40 to 60 km, mileage per one and charge, respectively.

The maximum speed of an electric scooter may be limited depending on the country it enters. In this case, it is possible to unlock restrictions through a special application. Motor power 500 W, speed about 40 km/h. Braking of the rear wheel is regenerative, while the front wheel is braked by a disc brake.
As a rule, there is a throttle button and manual cruise control, and in the middle part there is an LED indicator of the battery charge level. There is a mount for a smartphone with the Taur app. The smartphone simultaneously works with the dashboard and GPS-navigator, which can be useful both in expanding the user’s location and in case of kidnapping of the scooter.
The Taur II weighed 19.5kg, featuring a powder-coated aluminum frame that collapses when stored as a carry.
Kickstarter is raising funds in the amount of $ 995 for one product. If crowdfunding is successful, deliveries could begin as early as May 2024. of the year.
