The state portal “Gosuslugi” is preparing to remove some services due to their financial inadequacy. According to an official decision issued by the Ministry of Digital Development, this will affect some interactive application forms and documents that are underutilized or outdated.
Ministry officials claim that this process has been going on since 2022 and that updated service forms are already in place in almost all of these services. They guarantee that old forms will be phased out and that electronic services will not be completely canceled.
The ministry states that from 2022, a convenient service generator mechanism has been launched for regions and departments. It made possible the independent display of services on the Gosuslug portal, without the involvement of professional developers and independence from the Ministry. Thus, most of the services have been successfully transferred to the new format.
Cleaning services on the Gosuslug portal will affect various regions of Russia. Some, like Adygea, will lose only one service, but there are others, such as the Sverdlovsk region and the Saratov region, who will lose thousands of services. In total, about 15,000 services will be removed in the country. In parallel, thanks to the service builder initiated by the Ministry, regions and departments have already brought more than 400 new services to the Gosuslug portal.
