The smartphone is claimed to be powered by a Snapdragon 4 Gen 2 processor and equipped with 8GB of RAM, but other options are possible.

At the same time, Geekbench showed that the new product scored 916 points in the single-core test and 2106 points in the multi-core test.

The device, codenamed 23076RN4BI, was also spotted in the BIS database, confirming it will soon be launched in India. Xiaomi is expected to launch the Redmi 12 in India on August 1, but it is not yet clear whether it will be a 4G model or a 5G version.

The teasers released by the Chinese brand point to the 4G variant as the design of the phone is similar and includes a 50MP main camera.

However, if this is a 5G model, it will be interesting to see if the only difference between the two versions will be the processor or if other differences should be expected.

There is also a possibility that the Redmi 12 5G is a version of the Redmi Note 12R, which is a Redmi 12 4G with Snapdragon 4 Gen 2 processor, 5MP front camera and no ultra-wide module.
