TikTok now allows users to make text posts on the social network. The ByteDance platform released the feature this Monday (24), to expand creators’ options and give more room to the creativity observed in comments and captions.
The text will allow people to “share their stories, poems, lyrics and other written content.” The social network already allows video and photo sharing, in addition to live streams and duets.
The novelty is making its way across Twitter (now the “X”). Elon Musk’s social network has announced changes to the brand, including the new name, official colors, and even the bird logo replaced with an X.
How to post text on TikTok:
- Press the “+” button to start a post.
- At the bottom of the screen, above the record video button, there is a horizontal list with duration of videos, Photo and now Text. Click on the last one.
After choosing the format, the user will be redirected to the text creation page. There, you can instantly type or paste something that has already been written. TikTok has even dropped features to customize it, including adding sounds, stickers, and background colors.
The platform also saves the post as a draft. As with media posts, users can tag location, allow or block comments and duets in the text, and add tags and hashtags.
