Ozon has launched the sale of Armenian products in Russia, the market said in a statement. In early July, the online platform entered the Republic’s market with Russian products.
“Literally three weeks ago buyers from Armenia placed their first orders for Ozon. Today we have great news for our compatriots: we have started sales of the Republic to Russia. We will help local entrepreneurs scale their business and facilitate entry into the Russian market.
To do this, Ozon opened a sorting center and a representative office in Yerevan. The logistics hub works for the reception and processing of orders, their preparation and packaging, as well as returns.
At the first stage, entrepreneurs will be able to choose two options for delivering goods to Russia: “sale from the seller’s warehouse” and “delivery by the seller.” The average delivery time will be 5 to 8 days.
The market plans to expand the logistics infrastructure in the country and develop a network of its own points to receive and issue orders.
Ozon started selling Russian products in Armenia on July 5. Almost the entire range is available to customers, from books and clothing to food or health products. Initially, the market planned to enter the Armenian market in the fall of 2023.
