One of the specialists of the Defense Research Institute, which is part of the Kalashnikov company, developed and tested the Egida anti-fragmentation enterprise, designed to protect Russian military personnel from the phenomenon of fragments of grenades, mines and PISTOL bullets that strike it.

As reported, field tests of “Egida” contain in a special range, the maintenance of TsNIITochm ash, ways to undermine grenades of the RGN type, as well as F-1, 3-5 meters from the protective blanket, as well as with the help of “execution” from the APS (pistol Stechkin, 9 mm) at a five-meter distance.

It was 85% clean, a real high-speed pole with a distance of 700 m / s, by weight, with the fragments that pierced it, no danger is detected anymore, as they have lost their destructive power. As for Stechkin, not a single one of his bullets pierced the blanket.

RF action shatterproof blanket

The list of options for using the Aegis is very wide – personnel can hide them during attacks, pull them over trenches and close the entrances to shelters and dugouts, hang them on car doors, etc. Of course, Aegis does not offer one hundred percent protection, that the chances of surviving seriously will increase.
