Russian companies should now switch to internal encryption methods like VPN for remote access as there are problems with this. This was announced on the Telegram channel by Anton Gorelkin, Deputy Chairman of the State Duma Information Policy Committee.
He noted that it is important to use domestic solutions, and that the Ministry of Digital Transformation and RKN support Russian companies in solving problems with corporate VPNs. For IT companies with large numbers of employees, switching to other remote access methods can be an expensive option.
Experts note that such a transition could cost billions of rubles, especially when it comes to companies with tens of thousands of employees. Gorelkin also expressed the view that the internet will be fragmented and will not be completely global in the near future.
