The new Dresden factory will be TSMC’s third production facility outside of its traditional factories in Taiwan and China. This initiative is in line with the European strategy aimed at strengthening local semiconductor production and optimizing supply chains.

Germany is ready to allocate up to 5 billion euros to support this initiative, which will include big players such as Bosch, Infineon and NXP.
