YouTube Music today (15) launched the “Samples” feature. new tab that presents music video suggestions in vertical formatfocuses on Shorts. The tool makes it easy to discover songs and artists while keeping the user on the platform.

Described by Stream as “a continuous feed of short video segments to lead you to your new favorite song”, it’s powered by the vast catalog of music videos available on YouTube. Accessible from the bottom bar where the Shorts icon used to be..

If the user likes the music suggested by the Samples function of YouTube Music, they can play it completely, simply by pressing the play button or enjoying the recording. You can also share it, add it to a playlist, use it in your own short video, and even scroll to the next suggestion by swiping the feed.
