Russian Wildberries planned to enter the Chinese market. The company has registered its brand in the country in the 45 classes of the International Classification of Goods and Services, Vedomosti learned.
According to experts, the platform may have difficulties in new markets. China is one of the founders of the markets, it is a highly competitive market, it will be very difficult for a new player to enter, said Sergey Sanakoev, director of the Center for Asia-Pacific Studies.
In the past two years, Wildberries has also registered its trademark in India, Mongolia, Japan, Vietnam, Malaysia, Indonesia, the Philippines, Afghanistan and North Korea. The company has also filed similar applications in Singapore and Thailand.
- At the beginning of August 2023, Wildberries entered the Azerbaijan market. This is the eighth country in which the company operates. The product range includes 5 million items.
- Wildberries currently operates in Russia, Belarus, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Armenia, Israel, Uzbekistan.
