52% of Russians reported having passive income. Basically, it is a bank deposit, a monthly repayment on a card or investments in securities. At the same time, one in five people is not satisfied with the amount received. This follows from a survey conducted by the financial market “Compare” and the insurance company “Renaissance Life”, the results of which were reviewed by RB.RU.
29% of respondents receive up to 5,000 rubles a month. Almost the same number of citizens estimates their passive income at 15 thousand rubles.
23% of Russians receive up to 30 thousand rubles a month of additional income, and 10% – up to 50 thousand rubles a month. Residents of Krasnoyarsk, St. Petersburg and Novosibirsk can boast an amount of 50 thousand rubles or more.
Most of the respondents experience positive emotions about their passive income and for 21% of them this becomes a motivation to increase their income. Many would like to increase income with the help of banking tools, such as cards with a higher return and a deposit with a higher interest rate.
According to the survey results, one in five people is not satisfied with the amount of money they receive. Another 13% are worried that next month there will not be the same income, and 7% are disappointed, always wanting more.
Among the reasons for dissatisfaction are the low percentage of income, the inability to cover inflation and the instability of this type of income.
The survey involved 1,200 respondents over the age of 18 who lived in Russian cities with a population of more than one million. The study was conducted using an online questionnaire in July 2023.
