Sergey Sanakoev, head of the Center for Asia-Pacific Studies, stressed that the new market participant will have a hard time.

However, Wildberries is actively expanding its geography. The company has registered its brand in countries like India, Mongolia, Japan, Vietnam and even North Korea in the last two years.

In August 2023, the retailer started operations in Azerbaijan, increasing the number of countries in which it operates to eight.
