In Russia, scientists have developed a new device for cars that can transmit data on traffic accidents with dangerous goods (RTA) from places where there is no communication. This news was shared by the representatives of the National Technology Initiative (NTI) Project Support Fund.

Researchers from the Competence Center at the Moscow Institute of Electronic Technology (MIET), NTI, Sensorika, have developed a device for cars. This system sends a distress signal from areas where there is no communication, including in traffic accidents. The main purpose of the device is to assist those carrying dangerous goods. It is attached to the car and automatically determines the level of environmental pollution.

When an accident occurs, the system independently analyzes the environment and creates data packets that are forwarded to other vehicles with a delayed send function. When the vehicle reaches the coverage area of the mobile operator’s base station, information is transmitted to the “112” service.

The device is also useful for ordinary car drivers: they can use it to report malfunctions. According to experts, this device can store the recorded information for as long as necessary, unlike the standard SOS button or phone. If the driver has an accident in the field without communication, he can register his objection to this device and automatically transmit this information to other cars passing by.
