Sales of Chinese premium cars in Russia have grown five and a half times since the beginning of the year. Exeed became the most popular brand: it accounted for 73% of the market. In total, the Chinese premium segment contributed 5.6% of the Russian new car market.
Since the beginning of 2023, sales of premium cars from Chinese brands have increased 5.5-fold in Russia. This is reported by “Autostat”. In parts, the number of cars sold was 28 thousand.
Exeed became the leader in sales among brands, occupying 73% of the market (20.1 thousand cars sold). Second place is occupied by Tank with a share of 14% and 3.8 thousand copies.
According to the results of seven months of 2023, Chinese premium cars occupied 5.6% of the new car market in Russia. Western brands including Mercedes-Benz, BMW, Lexus accounted for 3.6% of new car sales.
