Scientists from the Perm National Research Polytechnic University (PNRPU) have developed a new data transfer system. This system is capable of transmitting in real time information from sensors that control the underground well drilling process.

Engineers created a high-speed communication channel in the walls of drill pipes. This allows you to track the position of the well and transmit data very quickly. This approach improves the quality of hydrocarbon production and makes the extraction of hard-to-reach resources more efficient.

The heart of this new system is an IC that provides bidirectional communication over a copper wire. This method of data transmission creates a high-speed communication channel between various devices in the downhole system during the construction of complex wells. This allows you to transmit large amounts of information in real time.

This study was carried out within the scope of the Priority 2030 program, which aims to develop academic potential and scientific achievements.
