The government can allow companies not to publish financial statements until the summer of 2024. With such a proposal, the Russian Union of Industrialists and Entrepreneurs turned to Prime Minister Mikhail Mishustin. The RSPP believes that access to financial information will help justify the imposition of sanctions.
The Russian Union of Industrialists and Entrepreneurs (RSPP) has asked the head of the Cabinet of Ministers, Mikhail Mishustin, to allow companies not to publish financial statements until the summer of 2024. Interfax writes about it.
The RSPP believes that access to financial information poses risks for large Russian companies and will help justify the imposition of sanctions against them. The RSPP also points to the ease of identifying economic relationships by tracking the volume of exports and imports.
RSPP asks to define a list of companies that will be able to hide financial statements and include legal entities in them.
In 2022, the government allowed companies to hide financial information, but in July 2023, it again forced them to publish financial statements.
