This is a possible violation of the Children’s Online Privacy Protection Act (COPPA). Groups, including Fairplay and Common Sense Media, have raised concerns about YouTube’s ad targeting practices, citing ad campaign data showing personalized ads being placed on children’s channels despite YouTube’s claims for COPPA compliance.
