Last Saturday (28), French inventor Franky Zapata had an accident on your jetpack and fell to a height of about 15 metersWhen flying over a lake in Biscarrosse, France – a flyboard is a kind of “jetboard”.
Fortunately, he was rescued by emergency services and said there were no serious injuries. Watch the video of the moment below:
According to information received, the inventor was taken to the hospital, where he is conscious and apparently in good health. The next day (29), Zapata posted a message on Twitter to calm his fans and let them know he was fine, but their upcoming performance was cancelled.
“Thanks for your messages. I’m fine. It reminds us that we’re not birds and that gravity will win if we’re not great… We just learn from mistakes and can’t think of changing mobility without doing something,” Franky said on Twitter.

The Flyboard Air is a type of five micro-turbine jetpack that can accelerate to 140 km/h and, according to Zapata’s own company, lose one of its machine engines and continue flying. If both engines were lost, the pilot could make a controlled landing – it’s still unclear whether Franky drove exactly this version of this “plane” at the time of the collision.
Franky Zapata, 40, is known in France and other parts of the world for making his own jetpacks or similar vehicles and performing in a variety of situations. In 2019, Zapata crossed the English Channel on a flying jet hoverboard, connecting England to northern France, and performed on Bastille Day that same year.
