The report refers to “bad control practices”. In August, Ekō attempted to purchase 13 Facebook ads using AI-generated images and text, which clearly violated the company’s policies. While some ads have been discontinued, Ekō claims this is due to its political nature, not its hateful content.

Examples of endorsed advertisements include calls for the execution of a prominent lawmaker and the burning of synagogues. The company noted that the report is based on a small sample and does not represent the entire ad review process.
