Samsung announced on Tuesday, 29th, that the Samsung Developer Conference 2023 (SDC23) will be held on October 5th at 14:00 (Brasília time). The event will feature software news from the South Korean company.
The company said in a statement that they will be shown. News for platforms like SmartThings, Bixby, Knox and Tizen. In addition to talking about expanding customer experiences, executives will also unveil their plans for collaboration with developers and an open innovation strategy.
The person to represent Samsung will be JH Han, CEO, vice president and head of Samsung’s Device eXperience (DX) division; Jaeyeon Jung, Executive Vice President of SmartThings Team, and Sally Hyesoon Jung, Group Vice President, Mobile eXperience Business Framework Research and Development.
Unlike last year, SDC23 will be open to the public and anyone can register to participate. The event will be held at the Moscone Center in San Francisco (USA). Participants will have open sessions so they can collaborate and learn more about Samsung’s developer-focused platforms.
The keynote and key sessions will be streamed live on Samsung’s YouTube channel and Samsung Developer website.
Will One UI 6 be released?
In addition to news from SmartThings, Bixby, Knox and Tizen, it is also possible for Samsung to make statements such as using SDC23: OneUI 6.
The Android 14-based operating system is in beta and will likely be released with a stable version after the event. The test version of the interface was released on August 11.
Such disclosures could happen as the South Korean giant officially announced One UI 5 at the 22nd Samsung Developer Conference.
