Rental service Dott, Lime and Tier have already started removing their electric scooters from the streets of the city. In total, about 15,000 units are planned to be captured.

Tier Mobility said two-thirds of seized electric scooters will be shipped to Germany and Poland, where the company already has offices.

The rest will be distributed to other cities of France. Lime also plans to redistribute its equipment to other European cities, including London and Copenhagen.

This decision raised many questions, including those regarding the future of the employees of these companies. It is not yet clear what the results will be for the bike rental market, which is also booming in Paris.
