The new owners of the Domino’s Pizza business in Russia have relaunched the pizza chain under a new brand. Restaurants will operate under the Domino Pizza brand: 68 points belong to rapper Timati and restaurateur Anton Pinsky, another 52 points have signed a franchise agreement with them.
Rapper Timati and restaurateur Anton Pinsky have relaunched the Domino’s Pizza pizzeria chain under the Domino Pizza brand. Entrepreneurs talked about this at an event on the occasion of the opening of the first point in Moscow, Forbes reports.
The network of 120 restaurants operating under the new brand will unite 68 establishments owned by Timati and Pinsky and 52 establishments that have signed a franchise agreement with them. Pinsky and Timati did not mention a specific amount of investment for the restart, but estimated it at hundreds of millions of rubles.
On August 29, the purchase of the Domino’s Pizza business by Timati and Pinsky was reported. The parties did not disclose the terms of the agreement.
In March 2022, DP Eurasia, which operates the Domino’s Pizza brand in Turkey, Russia, Azerbaijan and Georgia, suspended investments in the country and stopped accepting royalties from Russian operators.
On August 21, it became known that DP Eurasia had started bankruptcy proceedings. On August 22, Timati and Pinsky announced that they planned to purchase the network and relaunch it under a new brand.
