Sadovnichiy stated that a comprehensive analysis and appropriate measures should be taken to overcome this decline. He emphasized that there are currently seven school Olympics aimed at attracting talented students. As an example, the results of the Physics Olympiad showed that this year one-fifth of the first-year students of the Faculty of Physics of Moscow State University entered the university.
The All-Russian Congress of Physics Teachers, in which the Rector gave a speech, has been held for the second year in a row at the Sirius Federal Education Center. This year’s congress brought together about 1,500 teachers, university representatives and experts from different regions of Russia.
