Lamoda has launched an online clothing trial, the feature is available to some users in trial mode in the Lamoda app on iOS. Customers will no longer have to order the same product in multiple sizes, a company representative told RB.RU.
To get a size recommendation and see how any garment will fit, the user must enter four parameters: gender, height, weight and age. It is also possible to indicate body characteristics, which will increase the accuracy of the recommendation.
The system will generate a display of the image on a model with similar parameters; this is how Lamoda personalizes the gallery for the buyer. At the same time, you can upload your own photo and see the image for yourself.
Nearly 300 of the platform’s most popular products are available for virtual try-ins: dresses, pants, shirts, cardigans, jeans, T-shirts, tops, and other apparel.
According to the site, the online adaptation simplifies the purchase process for customers and allows them to save a high percentage in the exchange. The company promises that users will no longer have to order the same product in multiple sizes.
The startup Texel, which specializes in the development of computer vision, artificial intelligence (AI) and generative neural network technologies in the field of fashion retail, acted as a technology partner in the development of the virtual fitting room functionality.
- Lamoda has already launched several artificial intelligence tools in 2023. Thus, an AI service for choosing clothes appeared in March, and in May it was possible to receive offers in the form of capsule images collected by AI.
- The site is also being developed offline. On August 24 it was learned that Lamoda will open a network of offline clothing and footwear stores under its own brand. Some of them will be located on the site of the old Adidas outlets.
