Beeline announced the ongoing change in its network. By the end of 2023, mobile internet will perform better in 31 countries.

This was achieved by refarming* the frequencies of 1800 MHz and 2100 MHz. It will increase the speed by 30%.

The effect of such progress can be compared to the expansion of the roadway – instead of a two-lane road, customers receive a high-speed three-lane highway. At the same time, services that are particularly demanding on the quality of the network (for example, watching online video in high resolution) can use “three lanes” at once. As a result, pages load faster, videos and music can be played in high quality, sound and images during video calls and video conferences become clearer.

After the work is completed, the frequency range in 4G LTE networks is expanding. At present, work on the transition at a frequency of 2100 MHz has been completed in branches based in Orel, Blagoveshchensk, Novosibirsk, Stavropol, Cherkessk, Tula, Magadan, Yuzhno-Sakhalinsk, Yakutsk, Smolensk, Kostroma, Vladivostok, Samara, Tyumen, Ryazan, Vladimir, Kursk and Petrozavodsk.

The operator promises that in the near future an event will also take place in the Kaliningrad, Tambov, Voronezh, Belgorod, Lipetsk, Bryansk, Arkhangelsk and Khabarovsk branches.

As for the 1800 MHz network, so far refarming has been carried out in St. Petersburg, Astrakhan, Buryatsk, Magadan, Yuzhno-Sakhalinsk and Petropavlovsk-Kamchatsky branches. Until the end of the year, work in this direction is planned in the Arkhangelsk branch of the company.

In 2022, the company carried out refarming in 32 regions of the country.

*refarming is the process of reallocation and reuse of radio frequencies, owned by the operator.
