Vedomosti reports that MTS subsidiary Irteya plans to create a 4G/5G mobile communication base with an open architecture of OpenRAN.
It is planned to spend 5.4 billion rubles on the development of equipment, and receive another 5.6 billion rubles from the state budget from 2023 to 2026.
It is assumed that Irteya will create base stations for the tasks of MTS. However, for the mass development of development, two years are insufficient, says Konstantin Ankilov, managing partner of TMT Consulting.
