The voice actress sued Tinkoff for allegedly illegal use of her voice. A few years ago, she read several hundred pages for a bank with the agreement that her voice would be used for corporate purposes only. Recently, however, her voice has been heard in many non-Bank related materials, including pornographic advertisements.
Voice actress Alena Andronova sued Tinkoff Bank for, in her opinion, the illegal use of her voice. An article about this was published in DTF on behalf of Andronova herself.
The girl said that in 2019, according to the published vacancy, she agreed to read 600 pages of text for Tinkoff to train the neural network – the future voice assistant. They signed a standard contract with her, in which, according to the girl, there was not a word about the right of the bank to synthesize her speech.
The article clarifies that recently, the girl’s friends have repeatedly heard her voice in videos and materials of various kinds, including pornographic advertisements, as well as commercial videos.
Andronova claims that her voice was used for speech synthesis and then put up for sale on third-party sites and also posted on the bank’s website.
The girl filed a claim with the bank, they contacted her and offered compensation. However, she refused and was going to settle the matter in court.
