Sberbank registered the GigaCode / JARVIS program in the Rospatent registry, Kommersant found out. According to the description, it is intended for automatic completion and generation of multi-language program code.
The technology company confirmed to the publication that they had created such a program. Now it is available only to a few thousand Sberbank employees, but in the coming months the program will also be opened to third-party developers.
Earlier this year, Sberbank presented its own version of the GigaChat multimodal neural network. Recently, the company has implemented the service on smart devices with the Salyut assistant.
As Sberbank specified in the post, GigaCode is being developed in parallel and has intersections with GigaCode.
The service can be integrated with development environments such as JetBrains’ IntelliJ IDEA and PyCharm, Microsoft’s Visual Studio Code, and others.
This year, Microsoft announced a new version of GitHub Copilot, which will be able to generate descriptions of proposed changes to the project. In Russia, access to GitHub Copilot is blocked.
