The Chinese company Honor presented a smartphone whose screen folds out. The novelty was shown at the IFA 2023 exhibition in Berlin.
The manufacturer positions Magic V Purse as a fashion accessory. The Always On Display feature allows you to change live and interactive wallpapers on the screens on both sides of the smartphone to suit the owner’s outfit. Wallpapers are interactive: they react to touch, device movements, and the lighting level in the room.
Magic V Purse is slim: less than 9mm when folded. Honor did not reveal the technical characteristics of the smartphone, but specified that it will be able to withstand up to 400,000 folding cycles. Honor also highlighted the respect for the environment of the materials from which the device is made.
Honor did not specify the start date of sales or the nominal price of the new items.
