The Central Bank plans to publish a report on artificial intelligence at the end of the year. The regulator called its goal a discussion with market participants about the scope of AI, including the risks it sees in the use of technologies.
The Bank of Russia will publish a report on artificial intelligence at the end of 2023. It will be advisory in nature, said Olga Skorobogatova, first vice president of the Central Bank.
Following the publication of the report, the regulator wants to discuss with market participants the scope of artificial intelligence, including the risks associated with it.
“Based on the feedback results, to develop approaches it makes sense to regulate something or not,” Skorobogatova noted.
In April it became known about the plans of the Bank of Russia to create a center of excellence in artificial intelligence. The regulator recalled that AI helps in decision making and the automation of data sets.
