Starfield game must be run from SSD as specified in game requirements. But the YouTube channel host RandomGaminginHD decided to test it with an HDD.

After playing Starfield for a few hours, it becomes clear why it is recommended to run it from an SSD. The fact is that if you have a building, spaceship, etc. when entering. Places are waiting for you. Depending on whether you use HDD or SSD, you will have to wait for a different amount of time.

The test bench featured an i5-12400F processor, an RTX 4060 Ti graphics card, 32GB of RAM, a Kingston NV2 SSD/HDD Western Digital Caviar Black 1TB.

As a result, the loading time from launch to immediate launch was 14 seconds (with SSD) and 1 minute 30 seconds (with HHD). As for gameplay, we encountered slowdowns and freezes on the HDD that sometimes lasted a few seconds.

In the game, entering the buildings took 8 seconds with HDD, 3 seconds with SSD, and exiting the places took 17 and 5 seconds, respectively.
