Mozilla has published a report on the privacy of automakers.

The Mozilla rating includes 25 companies. Of them:

▪️ 92% give drivers little or no control over their personal data

▪️ 84% of companies began to use data from external organizations.

▪️ 76% of automakers can sell user data.

▪️ 56% of companies can share information with specified conditions in response to a request.

Renault took the first place in working with customer data. It is followed by Dacia, BMW, Subaru and Fiat. Worst of all with driver data on Tesla.

Nissan and Kia collect the most data, including information about intimate activity.

Six automakers say they can obtain “genetic information” and “genetic characteristics”.

Most companies collect customer phone numbers, email addresses, photographs, calendar information, race information, and even immigration status. [The Verge]
