Elementaree, a meal kit delivery service with cooking recipes, decided to buy the business of its competitor “Taste at Home.” The transaction amount is not disclosed.
Following the purchase of the company, the customer base of “Taste at Home” will be transferred, as well as the obligation to continue providing kits to customers of the service, writes Kommersant.
According to the general director of Infoline-Analytics, Mikhail Burmistrov, the transaction amount could be approximately 10 to 15 million rubles, at the rate of 3 thousand rubles for each Taste for Home client, whose number is approximately 5 thousand people .
Shefmarket founder Sergei Ashin does not rule out that the deal could have had liquidity problems, given the company’s small customer base.
According to Infoline-Analytics forecasts, total revenue from food parcel delivery services may decrease by up to 15.5 billion rubles. This will happen, in particular, due to the opening of budget lines by the players.
