The game was instantly available to over a million players, and many decided to use the Xbox Cloud Gaming cloud service to launch the project. However, the servers could not withstand the influx of applicants and the virtual queues that formed.
According to Pure Xbox editors, most players did not wait in line for more than 15 minutes, which is not a critical situation. However, there were exceptions. A Reddit user reported that he had to wait almost 4 hours to access the cloud service.
Today the situation on the servers is back to normal. All queues are gone and players can enjoy Starfield without worry. This is especially true for those who don’t have access to the new Xbox Series X/S consoles or a decent gaming PC.
