To close this gap, operators are looking for alternative equipment, including from Chinese third-tier manufacturers. However, this equipment does not yet meet the requirements for stability and functionality, and compatibility problems with existing systems remain due to the closed systems of Chinese vendors.
Some Chinese suppliers have expressed a desire to modify their equipment for Russian networks. However, experts remain skeptical about the possibility of a complete replacement of equipment from major suppliers such as Huawei, Nokia and Ericsson. At least for now.
