A new feature has appeared in the iOS 17 RC code that allows you to limit battery charging in the iPhone 15 and 15 Pro, writes 9to5Mac.

Owners of new iPhones are able to choose; in the end, the battery must be charged. When you connect the charger, a message appears on the smartphone screen that “the battery will charge to approximately X%.”

If the function is turned off, it will light up when the cable is connected!

The principle of operation of the new function is similar to the gentle charger, only when using a given course, charging will stop. Supposedly, this will help slow down battery aging, which leads to decreased performance. [9to5Mac]
