Power BI, Visio and Project have already been banned. Restrictions have been introduced since May 16. This is reported by RBC citing Andrey Blagorazumov, vice president of the Softline group of companies.

“Since May 16, Microsoft has actually started rolling out subscriptions on CSP; We are seeing outages for between 5 and 10 of our customers. We assume that the supplier has approved the list of products to be deactivated,” he states.

In March, Microsoft sent a letter to Russian companies stating that starting March 20, 2024, it would close access to its cloud products. The reason was then alleged to be EU sanctions. But then, as RBC experts suggested, the company probably decided to postpone the suspension of its services.

The block will likely affect Teams, One Drive, Azure, Office 365 subscriptions, all online services, including free ones, and all versions of Excel.

Previously, RB.RU reported that Microsoft’s March order could have been for products from Amazon and Google.
