Microsoft announces Windows Update will no longer update printer drivers

Microsoft Windows Update will no longer deliver third-party printer driver updates. The measure is being implemented gradually to implement MS’s strategy over the next four years.

“With the release of Windows 10 21H2, Windows provides inbox support for Mopria-compatible devices on network and USB interfaces via the Microsoft IPP Class Driver,” Microsoft explains.
