Yandex has launched an updated Yandex Pay system, which allows you to pay for goods in stores offline. This is what he said in a statement.
Previously, Yandex Pay was mainly used to pay for purchases in online stores and Yandex services. Now owners of Android devices will be able to enable payment with a Pay card from the Mir payment system via NFC and pay for purchases with a smartphone.
Reportedly, all you need to do is bring your smartphone closer to the payment terminal. Other devices will be able to pay for purchases using a QR code by scanning it in the Yandex Pay application.
The company also promised that online payment with a card of any Russian bank will allow you to receive 1% “Plus” points, which will be credited in addition to the cashback from the main bank.
Yandex launched the Yandex Pay cashless payment service in March 2021. It could be used by those who linked the card to their Yandex account and logged in. In July 2022, the service became available on the websites of some Russian airlines, in stores and on the State Services portal.
