Nasdaq has raised $8.6 billion through initial public offerings (IPOs) this year. According to this indicator, the Nasdaq surpassed the New York Stock Exchange (NYSE), which raised $6.4 billion, Reuters noted.

Nasdaq managed to beat the New York Stock Exchange thanks to the IPO of the British microprocessor manufacturer Arm. The IPO took place on September 14 and became the largest this year: Arm was valued at $54 billion by placing shares at the upper end of the price range.

In 2023, there have already been 68 IPOs on Nasdaq, and another 150 companies are expected to IPO, up 40% from last year.
