It took a little longer than other manufacturers, but Vivo already has the ability to compete in the entry-level segment, at least for the first half of the year. Asian company presented worldwide Vivo B40 SEa mobile phone at a discounted price and with very interesting features including design, RAM and storage configuration that we usually see in high-end mobile phones.

Vivo’s new entry-level lineup features a consistent design compared to the rest of the smartphones in the brand’s catalogue, but also with important changes. In particular, the company decided to launch purple vegan leather trim which is combined with an aluminum photo module, and completely flat polycarbonate frames – although there is also a version of the Vivo V40 SE with a black glass back panel. The terminal also has an IP54 splash protection rating.

This design of the rear is combined with a slightly curved screen at the edges. This is about 6.67-inch AMOLED panel with Full HD+ resolution. (2400 x 1080 pixels) and also has an adaptive refresh rate 120 Hz.

In terms of performance, the new Vivo V40 SE is powered by a processor. Snapdragon 4 Gen 2, an eight-core chip, which in this case is accompanied by 8 GB of RAM and 256 GB of internal memory. The brand’s new entry-level line also features a battery 5000 mAh which is compatible with 44W fast charging, although a charger is not included in the box.

On the photography side, vivo has opted for a triple-camera configuration in its V40 SE, whose cameramain sensor 50 megapixels with f/1.8 aperture. The terminal also has a camera 8MP ultra-wide cameraas well as a sensor 2MP macro photography permissions. The latter is used for taking photographs at close range and obtaining greater detail in them.

The front camera, in turn, has a resolution of 16 megapixels; enough for casual selfies and video calls.

The new Vivo V40 SE is available in a single version with 8GB RAM and 256GB internal storage price 299 euros. It will be available from April 8 and can be purchased in two colors: purple with a vegan leather finish and black with a frosted glass finish.

Vivo also announced launch promotion which consists of Vivo V40 SE, 44W charger and Vivo TWS 3e headphones for the same price of 299 euros.
