Twitter user (X) with the nickname Liandr posted a photo of an iPhone 15 Pro with an unpleasant defect.

In the picture it appears that around the button area there is a view and Action faded. The photo was taken in the Apple press area.

However, it is not known for sure whether the titanium frame in the smartphone has actually faded. One of the users noted that this is hardly a defect, but rather presented as a material.

Titanium cannot be painted. The last time Apple did this, there was a similar problem with titanium in the PowerBook G4.

The frames are treated with PVD STT, which does not contain paint. The color literally “cannot” peel or fade.

What we see in the picture is just a collection of fingerprints.

Whether it will scrub off similarly remains to be tested. iPhone 15 Pro sales will start on September 22.
