Experts called it an “engineering miracle”, saying that it was far ahead of missile systems created in the 70-90s.
Sarmat has impressive specifications: The missile weighs 200 tons, is equipped with a 10-ton payload and is capable of traveling up to 16 thousand km. The warhead may contain multiple nuclear warheads with a total capacity of several megatons.
GRC chairman Vladimir Degtyar emphasized that Sarmat has already been put on combat duty. He added that the center continues to set new challenges for itself in the face of global technological competition.
This is being done to provide Russia with a reliable nuclear missile shield.
