Sber Eapteka intends to launch a service for online sales of medicines in installments. The service representative did not provide further details, Vedomosti writes. The market aims to fill a currently vacant niche, since on other platforms a similar service is available exclusively for dietary supplements.
A representative of the Farmacia 25 chain believes that the service will not be popular: to buy in installments, buyers will have to go through a series of long procedures, including at the bank.
The director of the DSM group, Sergei Shulyak, said that if a pharmacy market launches such a service without the help of a bank, the client will have to spend time filling out a form and leaving his data.
A Pharmacy 25 representative believes that online installment payment plans for the purchase of medications may be of interest to those customers who unexpectedly need expensive treatment.
