A DARPA agent has announced a fantasy project published as Natural Energy (POWER). This is due to the transmission of electricity and the use of lasers.
First of all, the idea is to use privacy and information to its fullest extent. Last but not least, implementation was extremely difficult to achieve. After the laser operates exclusively on the first line, on the other side of the atmospheric layers it is necessary to deploy on-board repeaters to minimize signal recovery and attenuation due to various atmospheric influences. In addition, transmitters and repeaters constantly aim at the target and adjust the beam, maintaining a strength similar to combat lasers.
The biggest problem is the excess energy in the process of converting the laser beam into electricity and back again through several transitions. The project consists of three stages: the first is the development of the repeater concept, the second is the transmission of energy with a power of 10 kilowatts using a laser to a distance of 200. km.
